Default Gona need a bigger rubber...

My front 19x9.5 rim got bent. Looking to switch out my 225 Achilles for 235's, for added protection.

Does anyone know which tire holds a stronger more heavy dutier sidewall than Achilles for under $150-175??

Looking for more than just one way to gain security to withstand these crappy roads.

Achilles brand?? Is that tire reliable? When I had 20's, I was thinking about purchasing that tire in 245/35 but couldn't find any reviews...so I went with the next bang for the buck and purchased Nexen N3000's...never had any problems with that brand or tire. I went thru two sets.

FYI, there's a European website that has tire reviews covering some of the tires mentioned:

I liked my Achilles , I had a 225/35 on a 9.5 and daily'd with it 60 miles a day about no problems. For the price I like them and their 400 treadwear

Yup I'm on achillies too 245s on an 11. With 50psi feels great. And for my fronts I got dunlops 215/35s on a 9.5 also with 50psi maybe it's your tire pressure not your tires.

maybe i got a bad batch of achillies but those tires sucked, had to get a road force done just to get a bit of vibration under control after a while they got noisy as ****.

I'm running 235/35/19 Kumho SPT at 40psi on a 9.5 up front with no complaints for noise or ride quality. They are about $180 ea

Ive never used Achilles but have always had luck with Kumho Ecstas and Bridgestone Potenzas. Have never had issues of any sort.

Wasn't wishing it onto you, just telling you the truth. 50psi is way too much.

I had achilles on my SC and they rode great, I always filled up to like 38-40psi.
