Question Does anyone know where I can purchase the chrome window trimming for the GS300 2002?

I went to Lexus of Bellevue today and they told me that they do not sell that part (WTF??)

So now i have no idea where to go to find this piece? The original owner had painted the chrome piece black and now it's started to fade and it looks like someone sharpied the trimming black.

You can see from the back rear passenger window the trimming is started to fade the black off and reveal the chrome again. That is the piece I am looking for. I want to re-do the entire right side and left side windows and replace the painted piece and return back to factory chrome.

You see how on the outer side of the windows, there is chrome? Those are the OEM window stripping pieces I am looking for.

ohhhh these are such a ****. It's almost impossible to remove them unscathed, they are held in with these two-way clips [the door moldings], that like to break when you give it some pressure or, of course acquire a kink in the chrome if you pull on it.

I'm surprised the dealer couldn't get you these, they are separate pieces, as i've removed and sold a couple myself.

Yeah i was surprised, I thought dealerships are suppose to have supplies for all vehicles up to 10 years of the model that was sold.

I want to remove them and replace them with new ones. I just cant figure out where to find them.

VIPDLEXUS: just talked to the parts specialist down there in person, and like 3 other guys huddled around the computer, supposedly that part has to be aftermarket chrome, they can get you any color except chrome.
Your looking at around $345.00 call Guy Marasco (412) 344-5800 parts specialist.. Hope this helps you.
