Where's the doughnuts?

Saw a similar thread in the 2IS forum and decided why not.

How many of you guys drift/doughnut/fishtail in your GS when it's snowing out?

I do all the time whenever I have the chance. Traction off with second gear selected and just mashing the pedal (not really lol). It's so much fun, but I'll admit I've had one little accident already. Got carried away and drifted in a neighborhood and ended up in someone's yard lol it was my buddies so no biggie I guess. He thought it was funny.

If you guys have any pics, post em'. I'm sure there are other 2GS owners that drift their car on a daily basis :)

Did some more drifting with a buddy today but no pictures or anything. He has an Acura CL-S running low pro's and basically went nowhere. Its pouring today and the GS hasn't been out since I got home and doesn't plan on going anywhere else until the snow is low enough. Gotta shovel my driveway first in order for the GS the get back up haha. My buddy in his CL-S could barely drift, he was pissed, now he's looking for an IS350 lol.

I'll be using either the the Tundra or GX for the rest of the night to go to my buddies :)

Not a great picture but its worth it. I took the picture after I parked the car so no one would know it was me. Right in the middle of the YMCA parking lot lol. I have a video I might upload later.

Interesting seeing a GS do doughnuts in the snow. Im sure the 400 and 430 can do em well.

It's really easy to do doughnuts as long as you turn off your traction. It's really not that hard if snows out. I really didn't even much much gas during the process, just kept my RPM's right around 3-3.5k but I really didn't need to.

Well Its going to be snowing in boston in less than 12hrs they say 3-6 inches. Im gonna be having a lot of fun tomorrow morning. I will make sure to get someone to film me.

I would go into drift king mode with my old sc300. man that thing was a beast in the snow. I would even drift on the highway in that thing.

You guys actually get to use "snow mode" in the north and the heated seat option....Lucky

This is true, just went out and used it for fun in the snow coming down. Certainly not used to the size of the car yet coming from and IS300 with aftermarket suspension.

I never use "snow mode". I really don't like it. I actually hate it as a matter of fact. As long as your not jamming your pedal at a green light you won't really spin if you just ease on to the accelerator. As for the heated seats, as long as the car is on in the winter, so are the heated seats :)

My heated seats stopped working. I think the fuse blew. I went sliding around today in the parking lot at work. I never use snow mode. It makes me feel like the car is an old diesel truck. Ugh. I have a 300, and it's simple to get sideways, traction control or not.

Yeah but without traction is so much better. Traction sometimes stops me halfway through the drift. I also have a 300, it's sluggish but hey, it's better than a FWD car! I literally turned snow mode on once for like 5 seconds and hit the pedal, it barely moved so I never used it again. No matter how much snow is out. GS barely goes out with the snow anyways, unless it's not to bad

Snow mode doesn't really do anything except change the throttle, sensitivity. I never use it, but every time I drive I have my heated seats on. nothing like a warm bum .

^niceee I didn't have a chance to have anyone film me but I am very impressed on how well this thing handles in the snow. V8 Rwd FTW!

Lucky! I did not see you had the 400. I bet it sounds so much better in the high RPM's than the 300. Although the 2JZ sounds very nice.
