Default Just sold My lexus GS 400 and upgraded to a .....

Hey guys sorry to inform you guys that a gentlemen approached me at work and offered to buy my lexus and i sold it to him for 7400 with all mods included. The car had 162000 miles and was a 1998 model. Had a nice little system with pioneer screen in the front, g35 rays, strut bars, suspension (old and crappy), tein front and rear strut bars, pro speed ebay exhaust, k&n intake and well maintained. Had bad o2s and some small cosmetic flaws. Any thoughts on how i did ?
Anyways i upgraded to an 08 350z blk on blk. Yes i have crossed over to the nissan world and am loving it. Will be buying an rx330 for the wife once she becomes my wife (March). Havent posted here in a while but hello to all those who remember me and eaven those who dont.

Thanks for reading

You're getting married, how in the heck do I not know this? Lol. Post pictures of both.. 350z are nice, but I wouldn't call in an upgrade
Oh and which is faster, GS or 350z?

Agreed, not an upgrade, but congrats on the Z. Sounds like it's in better condition than your GS, and maybe that's what you mean by upgrade?

You did good on selling your car.. I wouldn't say you upgrade to a 350Z.. You'll be back.. I've own (3) G35's as my daily drivers while owing my GS400 and sold all of them and bought a GS430.. I have a couple of buddies who were "Nissan" people, they own 350Z's and G35's and now they are driving GS400/430's.

Personally, I like the 350Z, but if you spend enough time in them, you'll get tired of them after awhile. If you were a GS400 owner at one time or another and bought another car. You'll miss the GS.. I've own alot of cars and get tired of other cars fast but I'm never tired of the 2nd GS.. (I'm the kind of person that trades cars every 10 months and rarely kept any car over 2 years). I owned my GS400 for 13 years now.. Picked up another 2GS early last year.. Lovin it.. Love my babies..

Enjoy your Z, you'll be back..

Congrats.. All the knowledgeable people on the VQ motor are on MY350Z as myself ! Whatever you do stay away from FI unless you are ready to drop some serious $ 6-8K Plus depending on what platform you go with. The bottom end is good for just under 400HP any more and they are a ticking time bomb unless fully forged. I will say this. The Z33 is what ignited the fire to me get obsessed with cars again! It is a drivers car and so rewarding in many ways... Again congrats and enjoy.. I sold my Z33 for my 2nd gen GS! Backwards ha! I'll get another one and the 2007-2008 are the only ones i would consider.. HR's rule!

Congrats! Good deal on the sale. I actually did the opposite. I was in the Nissan world for over 15 years and just came over to the Lex/Toyo world this year when I purchased my GS400.

Side note: That Z can get pretty tiresome on the ride quality and finicky interior. You will adore the handling and horsepower of the car as it is definitely fun to drive. But damn can it be soooo uncomfortable at times. Hope you aren't over six feet tall...lol

Twin Turbo Fairlady Z32 was and still is the best Z ever made by Nissan

Sick car, but you can't call it an upgrade since that's apple vs orange there! Upgrade in performance but you're giving up all the luxuries a Lexus had to often. When I first drove the S2000 home, man it was uncomfortable. To this day I still bash her about how uncomfortable of a ride she is! But definitely upp'ed the performance and my next car is probably the RX330. Congrats!

guys, from 1998 to 2008 (and the condition of his GS), IMO thats an upgrade no matter how you put it. Maybe not "commodity" wise.

Now if your talking about a 1998 with 60K miles and mint condition thats a different story.
