Is the 2001 gs430 the fastest Lexus?
I was looking on car-times.com and was suprized to find out just how fast my car is. A 14.3 1/4 mile time? Wow! Also was suprized that it's actually faster the the 2002 Lexus sc430 coupe? How does that little car weigh more than mine? Is there any Lexus made in 2001 faster than my gs430? Also I have always left the vsc button on, if I take it off will it actually peel out? I'm Babying this car so don't want to try. Just wondered

Back in fall 1997 to about 2003/4 it was a fast car, faster than 90% of the cars out there...today Camry's do 0-60 in under 6 seconds

I've been here 11 years and it was fastest until 2006 when the IS 350 came around...then the GS 450h became fastest...then IS F and now LFA....
Back in fall 1997 to about 2003/4 it was a fast car, faster than 90% of the cars out there...today Camry's do 0-60 in under 6 seconds

to me it's the perfect for my needs. I had a 2002 Transam and a 1999 GTP sedan supercharged with over 350hp and both were really fast, but each had their own problems. This car is relatively as fast as these cars, with a much smoother rids, a billion more features and the reliablity better than both combined. I couldn't be happier with this car right now.

The car can break traction lose and you can go into oversteer with the VSC off.
