Default Front seat swap

Hi guys,

Quick question for you all.

I got a good deal on a black leather interior (front seats, rear seat, door panels, etc) to replace my black suede interior with.

Anyways, the seats come out of a 2002 GS3, whereas mine is a 98 GS3.

Are the 02 front seats "plug 'n' play" with my 98 GS?

Thanks,

Yves

I thought the 01-05 has perforated seat covers while the 98-00 don't.

Yeah, maybe the leather is different but the rest is the same (airbags, rails, etc). However I think the SportDesigns and the 430 got perforated leather, whilst the others didn't.

^^ its a lot of work... if doing a FULL swap... I took two black interiors apart on a couple of parts cars... But i'm talking down to the seat belts.

As-is with cars, time, patience & the tools. *as to not obliterate the clips/mounting holes for the screws, etc.

if your only doing the f+r seats and doorpanels it is just some bolts and screws. So that cant be hard to do.

Good luck with the swap and post some before and after pics.

It's not a full swap, as my car already has a black interior. I'll be swapping both front seats, back seat, front armrest and the door panel inserts.

I'll make sure to post some pics.

Please post pics.. Also, where did you get the donor seats from? I'd like to replace my drivers side as it has some nasty cracks in it.

So after a 24-hour roadtrip I got this:

Total cost: approx. $300

Seats are in good shape, they just needs some cleaning. I quickly cleaned up the rear seats and they look close to new. The front obviously need more cleaning. All in all a good deal. I even got the chrome 01 shifter surround. Sweet!

I will be installing the rear seats in a couple of days. Will post before/after pics.

Wow it looks just like my swop. I went from gray to full sport design black with black wood inserts and a black wood steering wheel. I Just need a few small things. Your front seats look a bit better than mine though. Please post pictures when your done. How were your old seats...worn? That is a great price bro.
