Ya been a good car. Bought in 2001 was a dealer demo with 20k. Got to do some repairs this winter now has lots of little problems that are common with these cars. Door actuators on all 4 doors don’t work. My screen on my nak is totally burnt. Valve cover just started leaking. Power steering just started leaking. Replaced pump and alternator 2 years ago hopfully it’s not the pump again. The tps has let me stranded a couple times this year. And intermittent no brake pedal and abs goes off. Suspect booster as it’s original. And have read they go bad. Hopfully get it all fixed up before next spring. Love this car and hoping to get many more years out it.

Post a pic of the Odometer. I’m at 291K, I plan on keeping it for a while longer.

I have 192k with a check engine light for the charcoal canister/gas cap, otherwise, rides smooth as butter.

Now this is impressive. I'd be looking forward to hitting 500k if i were you. I don't think many have held onto them that long or reached that mileage.

Not that impressive considering those 430,196 kilometers converted into miles is 267,311.

Now that I'm approaching 300,000 miles on my GS400; I will be doing the 3rd set of spark plugs, third Tbelt job, cam seals, VVTi gear Orings, valve cover gasket, re wrap brittle wire harness and detail the rest.
A full cleaning of the interior is needed, that involves removing the front seats and maybe replace the carpet.
Daily driven all its life takes a toll on the interior, It has a wood steering wheel but I would like to have a newer one.
Headlight lens' need to be polished and sealed...

I'll try not to go crazy but all this needs to be done maybe more...

I would say 430K is very impressive given that it is a Canadian car and presumably subjected to winter influences. It is far more impressive to achieve even 200K miles on a car that has gone through 20 years worth of winters salt, grit and grime, not to mention the incredible temperature shifts from -30 to +30 (degrees Centigrade). A car that spends most of its life in temperatures that rarely drop below freezing needs minimal care to rack up mega miles. It is not that uncommon to see daily driven cars that are over 25 years old in the southern states or Mexico. You would be hard pressed to see cars that old in the snow belt regions. Not only do the engines take a beating in cold temp start ups but the entire chassis is subject to abuse due to frozen or grit laden bushings. These cars are also more challenging to repair when all of the nuts and bolts corrode and seize in to place because of the salt exposure.

My '98 GS4 is at 444K Km. It was a workhorse while driving my kids to various activities over ten years or so. It gets a little less use since I bought my ISF, but it is still my daily driver. In all the years I have had the car I only ever had to have it towed twice. Once was for a battery failure and another time because I ran out of gas on the freeway and I had to get it off the road. Even at 20 years old and 444K Km, I have no reservations about taking this car on a road trip anywhere. They are impressive cars indeed.

Kudos to my rust belt friends to the north; I can empathize with the winter influences that newgsman mentions.
For 40yrs I have been sheltered from the corrosive salted roads. I can only imagine the extra work that is required to keep a car road worthy year after year never mind a couple decades.

As a small child growing up in Boston, I remember kicking the icy slush that was stuck on the rear wheel well quarter panel area on our 1972 Chevy Vega. When I was done the whole rear wheel well fell on the ground, the ice was holding the sheet metal together, and the car was just a year or two old...

When I use the "K", I'm referring to thousand (s), or grand "G's" not kilometers. I currently have 295,000 miles (K, Thousand, G's).

Im now at 228k. Daily driver, no mechanical issues, no CEL; few squeaks and rattles here and here. Usually have to add a quart of oil once between changes.
