Cool Is300 vs gs300

I get bored with cars easily sometimes. the is300 is awsome, very nimble, overall great car. before buying the is, was considering the GS300 as well. now kinda wanting the gs300. dont know exactly why. here is a few question. maybe some of you have dealt this same dilemma. i dont mind keeping the is. when i see a GS, "i want that". same feeling i had when i didnt have the IS and saw an IS, "i want that".

ive sat in the back seat of a GS, to me its same space as in the back of the IS. am i wrong? is it same space?

gas mileage. fuel light on, fill up full 15 gallon, from full to fuel light, city driving, im getting 300 miles, avg 20mpg. i fill up when lights on, i dont drive it another 20-50 more miles on the light. probably a little less with the gs300?

any pros and cons?

any advantage the GS over the IS?

say anything about why i should keep the is300 or sell and get the gs300.

thx!

The GS def has more space, the IS is sized more on the Civic side for interior space while the GS is closer to an Accord. I would say an IS is a bit bigger than a Civic while a GS is a bit bigger than an Accord, hope that puts some perspective on it relating to size.

Handling wise the GS isn't going to handle like the IS, it's more of a cruising car than the IS is, but will give you a better ride and make road trips/around town more comfortable....

GS is more for cruising and the IS is more performance wise. Depends what you want.

My '98 GS400 has 210k and going strong! What maintenance are you worried about? These things are bullet proof. Doesn't use, leak, or burn oil. The V8 in that thing is soooo smooth and the MPG is basically the same as a GS300, I get 23 mpg regularly on mixed driving and up to 28 MPG on road trips . When you get on it the acceleration is amazing, 0-60 in the mid 5 second range. The GS is a pretty heavy car and won't feel nimble like the IS, but man I love the ride, and as others have previously posted its a cruiser and for long road trips its hard to beat. I'm pretty tall 6'3" and I don't feel cramped in any way.

The GS Front and Back seat area are definably larger than the IS. Much wider as well, when I sit in an Is it's like my arm is touching the passenger seat, but in the GS the center console/armrest is nice and wide..

The seating position of the them differs as well, the IS promotes upright driving and the GS caters nicely to laying back a bit more.

Biggest difference is going to be inside space, take it from me (because I have an IS and a GS also), the IS is smaller by far. It's also going to come down to what you plan to do with it. GS's look way better slammed with airride and coils and larger wheels, where the IS is more sportier for turbo kits etc..
