you can rule out the fuel pump, its either good or bad, and if its bad you aren't going no where.

I installed the mass air flow meter last night (I was amazed at all the build up on the old one) and I have an appointment at my dealer to get the throttle position sensor installed (along with fuel injection cleaning) tomorrow. I'm bringing it in because I stripped one of the two screws that hold it in place on the throttle body. So far with just the throttle body cleaning and new MAF meter, the car seems to be running great. My cars only get full synthetic oil and premium fuel, so it is rare that I run into any major issus. Below are a few pictures of the throttle body and the dirty sensor portion of the MAF meter.

Did you clean with a brush?

No, I did not clean anything with a brush. I used throttle body cleaner and a clean rag to take care of the throttle body and air intake box, and I simply bought a new MAF sensor/meter to replace the old one.

On a side note, my GS is at the dealer right now to get the new throttle position sensor installed (I stripped one of the screws that hold it in place). When I dropped off the car, they told me that it is common to have to replace the actual throttle body, not the sensor. Never heard this before.
