Default Need advice selling my car across country

Hey guys, I need some advice on how to handle selling my car to someone in Cali as I'm from NY. How does one handle this sort of transaction? Buyer wants to make sure he's covered as do I. If he wires me money to my account how can I reassure him? Also does anyone know of a good car transporter? When should I send him the title? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Accept funds electronically and make sure they clear before delivering your car. Wire transfer would be best

Gotta find a middle ground because both parties don't wanna get scammed or feel uncomfortable.

You wouldn't feel comfortable shipping a car without full payment and the buyer wouldn't feel comfortable sending all that money without a car or something else tangible.

Im guessing send him the title then you receive the money.. He can't do anything with only a title, and you can't do anything without it. (at least without waiting on a duplicate title if you wanted to be the bad guy... )

Yup. Dave locked it and told him to make a new thread once he received the car. I have yet to see a thread.

what's wrong with a plane ticket and a nice drive?
I mean it's a road car isn't it?

I did the same thing when I bought mine, gave a deposit first, flew out, saw what I was buying and drove it home.
