Default Can someone do this test for me?

I want to know if the "slight" buzzing sound is normal on these vehicles when the key is at the "ON" position.

The buzz comes from the motor on the throttle body.

So basically open your hood, put the key to on but don't start the car and just check if the motor slightly and continuously buzzes.

I am battling the horrible throttle problem on my car

thanks in advance

I'd never noticed that with the hood closed, but with the hood up, yes. There is a very slight buzz.

I think the buzz is from the ABS motor for few seconds.

Very slight buzz, I can only hear when the hood is open. Never heard it with the hood open, nor in the cabin.

No I am not talking about the abs pump. The pump makes a noise for about 10 sec when the key is switched to ignition. The TB makes a continuous light buzz. It's not the same sound.

ABS switches on/off a few times then you can hear the TB sensor(?). Just current flowing through or something. Never noticed because the car is not usually in the ON position for too long.

yes, exactly, im not referring to the ABS motor.. talking about the tb motor.
hmm.. thanks very much for the info; i guess its the clutch within the motor that sort of "activates" and makes that buzz. just wanted to ask; part of the troubleshooting process here.

going out to get another tb tomorrow... ah i wouldnt want my worst enemy to have this problem; once again thanks for all the input!
