Price of a salvage GS400 compared to clean tittle.
I been checking online to see what a GS clean title and salvage are going for...
Should a salvaged with no frame damage cost half of a clean title GS?

i think salvage titles are worth whatever someone is willing to pay, it'd probably have to be around half price for me to consider it, i've never bought a salvage title car before though.

salvage cars to a point are good deals as far as older cars based on cost the insurance company prices things out, figure a 1998 GS400 clean title is worth 8000 bucks.... 3500 damage which could be some fender bender, as parts and paint could cause the car to be salvaged. insurance company salvage cars if the damage is like 40 to 60% of the value of the car...

I don't know this will help but I paid $6500 for my salvage 2000 GS400. Salvage because of missing interior which was a good thing because the interior right now has no wear or tear. Mileage I got her at was 112,xxx.

Salvage isn't always bad, depends on what the damage was and who repaired it. I have Farmers full cover on my salvage gs300 which I repaired. It's never left me stranded and the only thing I can remember going wrong was the common throttle body problem, which had nothing to do with any accident!
But to answer the OP's question expect to pay about 25-35% less, depending on the car's condition. If theres no frame damage it'll most likely cost more than one in which you can tell bodywork patches and which panels don't align, or there's been frame damage.

thats how i feel, my mom just bought a 2004 s2000 for like 9500 salvaged which i think is a good deal.... i got into a fender bender with my GS and got everything fixed, selling my car for 8000 to 7500 with 8000 plus worth of aftermarket stuff and i dont get much interest... so i dont get why people wouldnt jump all over it even if its salvaged...
My opinion is it's because most people have the mindset that salvage cars are junk and would take a clean title even if it ran like crap. But if you're trying to sell your gs just be patient. It takes about 3x longer to sell a salvage car than a clean title one just from personal experience.

Salvage is a huge issue if you want to sell the car later. Most buyers won't touch a salvaged car

Usually the insurance companies salvage cars if the cost of repairs goes beyond 75% of the car's book value. If the car is already fixed and the title is cleaned but has salvage history the car would be worth 20% less than a clean title. Again, like others mentioned before, it depends what kind of damage the car had and who repaired it. To me it wouldn't matter if the car has clean or salvage title as long as it was in good shape and the repairs were done correctly.
