Default How do you Un-Connect an O2 Sensor

Quick Question: How do you Un-Connect an O2 Sensor? My dad and I are working on replacing the sensor and we cannot figure out how to get the original sensor disconnected.

If it's the electrical plug that you're trying to remove, then it's like any other connector. You press onto the tab (where the plugs goes into) and pull the connector out. If it's stuck then it's probably because of embedded dirt.

yeah are you trying to remove the 02 Sensor from the bung (unscrew it) or trying to unplug the electrical connector?

if you have it unscrewed and your trying to unplug it, you just need to follow the wire till you find the connector..

you can search and probably find your answer on here somewhere, or if you post a more detailed question with specifics someone might throw you a bone and give you the exact info you need.

Thanks guys, we didn't realize there was a tab on the back. We got the sensor replaced, hopefully my check engine light goes away. It was nice to only pay $80 for the sensor and do the labor instead of paying $470 for the labor which is what a shop quoted me.

Lol I know I asked them why it cost so much and they didn't go into detail they just said it was "very labor intensive" so I left and bought the sensor online for $80. It took less than 2 hours to install so it was definitely worth the diy.
