This is the promo DVD I have for the Infiniti. The car was being marketed as a "Muscle Car with brains"

Excellent vid this car vs. classic muscle cars.

The GS400 is about as bullet-proof as you can get.

That was basically the deciding factor of my decision. As both cars sit right now it was a pretty even comparison for what i want. But as the miles get up there, i plan on keeping this car for a while as a DD, the lexus edged out the nissan in terms of reliability. I'm going to put some money into the lexus as far as the build goes, but nothing crazy just a clean and simple VIP build that i can stunt around.

Alot of why i need this reliability is that i'm picking up a subaru GC8 RS shell and attempting an LS1/T56 swap. This will require alot of R&D and custom work that will take time, and i need a reliable DD during all of this. I know its blashempy a RWD subaru powered by american muscle.

The GS you posted looks good. I would HIGHLY recommend you see first hand a GS with black interior before pulling the trigger on the one with gray interior.

Unless of course gray's your thing. I just finished my tan to black interior swap on my 400. it's amazing how much better it looks, and how much more I enjoy the car.

IMHO the M gets points for being more unique, but the GS wins every other category.

There was a GS300 that i took a look at that was black on black and yes i love that interior, but i cant locate a GS400 with the black interior within my price range. How much did the swap cost?

Depending on completeness, and condition, the swap could run anywhere between $1500 to $3000.

Not cheap I know, but when I told the Mrs. that it would prevent me from wanting to buy a new car anytime soon, she realized that it wasn't THAT expensive a mod. Not to mention I hope to help defray the cost by selling some of my tan pieces. Either that, or add to my new headlights fund.

I have to agree that black/black is a nice combo but it's very hard to find.
