I don't get it...instead of opening it up and taking pics to determine the gear ratio just bring the car up to 80mph and hold it. If you are at ~3000rpm's you have the 3.73 gearing...if you're at ~2600rpm's you have the 3.26 gearing.

Well, this is assuming that we are talking about a GS4XX (and the stock tranny).

Hello there, just found your forums and this thread. Can you help me to identify this diff lock? I've been told that it is from US-spec IS300 Lexus, 2001 IIRC. Google told that it should fit to Supra MKIV/ JZS147 Aristo (and GS300 Lexus) automatic's housing but no.

TIA

Defiantly a clutch pack style LSD. Looks alot more like a TRD than a precision..

Prob just a JDM 6-spd diff with the TRD LSD upgrade.

Great find tho, hope you got a good deal on it..

TRD

Precision

Or just take it up to 80 mph in 4th (1:1 ratio gear) and look at the tach and move the decimal place over one.

Say 80 mph = 3260 rpm, then you have 3.26's.

Every car I have found if the speedo and tach are calibrated accurately this is spot on.
