Sometimes while.driving a weird whining high pitch noise will start and stay the continuous sound for 5mins also the brake,vsc,abs, and vsc light is on the whole time this noise is on .everything still drives and brakes fine.

Anyone kmow what this could be?

Can't tell from that description but I hope its not your master cylinder... check brake booster lines also...

 

Thanks for the response . It happens every so often ill be drivin and then all of a sudden the brake light,the abs light,the vsc light,and the vsc off ligjt will stay on . the lights only stay on as long as the high pitched whining noise is on. It happens for amywhere from 3 to 6 mins

 

So while those lights I mentioned come on there is a continous whining noise coming from around the dash

 

Anyone have any idea what it is?

I"m having the same problem.

I thought the whinning noise was just engine noise from my system, but its unusually loud.

Then I get the VSC/ABS/VSC lights that come on after a couple minutes of running the car and they stay on. When I turn off my car and restart, the lights go off, but they come back on eventually. The whining noise is constant.

 

Had a similar problem, didn't know what it was until the batt. lite came on.... it was my alternator.

 

I hope its just the alternator

 

I'm having exactly the same issue with my 1999 GS300 (135,000 miles). If three of us are having the same problem, there must be a common answer. Please help!
