Ive got some TSW mondello's that I am going to put on my gs3 and I am wondering what are the best size tires I should go with. The wheels are 20x8.5 +20 front and 20x10 +25 rear. The car is going on coilovers and I am not going to slam the car I want it just enough to tuck some tire.

Without doing any major fender mods what size tires should I go with??

Thanks

Default Set-up (noob)

First off I am new here and I expect all the new guy flack, but I am not reading through everything right at this moment, but I will in the following week. Here is my situation. I bought a 2005 with 20's on it from the dealer. It looks fine (not my style though) and rides fine, that is until I hit the speed of 60mph+. Then there is all sorts of shaking in my steering column and I am not okay with that, just for the sake of a look. The dealer has some SSR Werfen GT-04 in 19+8.5 and 19+9.5 that he would sell me for 2800. I had them put them on to show me the look. But the mechanic said he was worried about the rubbing on the rear fender and said I would have to get it rolled to avoid rubbing. I want to have a 45 aspect to alleviate the shaking while driving, but I was told I will not be able to run any more than a 35 with a stock config. My question is should I roll it to get this steal? Should I drop to a 18 and lower it by 1.5? Then what brands do you recommend (total noob in this area)?

Thank you for the advice and counsel.

Odds are the wheels and tires are not the cause of your vibrations. That vibration is a common issue with these cars and although it can sometimes made worse by larger diameter wheels it's very likely an issue with bushings and suspension and that sort of thing. I'm almost sure there's a sticky discussing all the troubleshooting and fixes, otherwise a search for highway vibration will yield tons of discussion. Welcome to CL, there's a huge amount of info here that cam be intimidating to dig thru but most issues and questions have been answered over the years!

What have you done so far to combat the rubbing, and how low are you running?

Bought some new rims for my 2gs, F: 18x9.5 +35 R: 18x10 +35 I'm on Teins CSv1 and have all my fenders rolled and pulled slightly. Would 255/35/18 Michelin PSS fronts and 305/35/18 MT Et streets work? Looking to get 600+rwhp when my build is done. Any advice is appreciated.

well they are 19x10+20 235 35 19 in the front and 19x11+10 235 35 19 in the rear. Im already planning on shaving and rolling as well as pulling the rear fenders, should i go with a wider tire for the rear?

Personally, I wouldn't go lower than a 255 on an 11" wheel.
