Default GS300 Tow Hitch / Tow Bar

G'day from Australia.

No one in Australia makes a tow hitch (we call them tow bars) for my 2001 GS300.

Does anyone know or recommend this brand: CURT P/No. 11238.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=330485412498

Help please.

Thanks, Dave

Where does it bolt to? Is is existing mounting points on the stock car, or do you have to drill some mount holes? I want one simply so people stop hitting my back bumper when they parallel park. I want it to be easily removable though. Within 5-10 minutes.

To pull a small jetbike and to stop drivers tailgating!

A towbar with a 40mm towball really makes a difference.

Careful - you actually might get what you wish for.

Here are the CURT installation instructions:

Thats why I am so keen to seek opinions as to how good they are. Cheers

Thanks for the great pics and the link. I read macd7919's recommendation:

This is a good hitch, works great and is hardly visible once on the car. I have the same one and 99% of people don't even realize I have a trailer hitch on my car, not to mention it makes it really easy to jack up the back of the car if you need to adjust coilovers or something Good price too!

Sounds positive to me.

Cheers, Dave

Looking at the instructions posted it looks like you just need to remove 6 bolts. Sounds easy enough. Doesn't sound like it should take too long.

I think I might get one soon. My goal is to tear up the front bumper of anyone who hits my car again while parking behind me. And if I ever get the bike I wanted I could also use it for that with the bike rack attachment.
