Most people do not respect your property (in this case a car) when they come in close quarters to your car especially the ones with a clunker. I too park a good distance away in parking lots. Door dings are one thing. You also have to worry about people walking between cars with objects that can also scratch your car too. Women with handbags along kids are notorious for this.

Kids for some reason like to run their fingers all the way down the side of cars as they walk by! WHY?!!!

Just recently I actually caught a lady with her door wide open in my f...kin door in a BigLots parking lot and I'm like...hello you just hit my door and etc. and she is all ...oh no I didn't. After pulling her door away there was a slight ding and a scratch so I told her to give me her insurance info, which she did. Next day I went to a body shop and estimate to fix this scratch was for $750. I got lucky that I caught her in the act. I filed claim and got money to fix the damage but shoot if this was a minute later i wouldn't catch anyone!!! Some of these people are just soooo ignorant!!!
