Default Location and mounting of front license plate...

what do you guys think is the best option for mounting my front license plate? I have been rolling around without it on but with my Avant it was just an excuse to pull my car over ...... I dont want to drill holes in my bumper so the only other idea i had was to get some L brackets and screw it to the bottom of the bumper......not even sure how much i like that idea but it seems to be the best i have come up with.....maybe double stick tape but not sure how good of a job that will do......throw me some ideas if you have any please

I've done that on almost all of my previous cars.
Will definitely do it on the GS as well.
Well only if it doesn't have that special place for license plate, kinda pressed into the bumper kinda place...

My (Euro) GS has a 4 huge square holes for the plate bracket...

I wanted to remove the bracket, but when I saw those holes I put it straight back in.

You guys are lucky to have bumpers without mounting holes.

Screwing it on the bottom of the bumper with brackets would be your best bet.

i used the stock plate bracket, trimed off the 2 little corners so it sits flush with the size of the north american plate.

then i had it mounted/drilled into my bumper, just to the side of the fog lamp so it didnt block the fog lamp.

I'm with you on this...I don't feel like getting pulled over so was thinking about getting a bracket to mount my plate. I have the aimgain front bumper and it doesn't have holes for a license plate.

you could also try something like this (easily removable/adjustable):

http://www.skenedesign.com/FPBracket/index.shtml

or this:

http://www.amazon.com/JDM-License-Pl.../dp/B001U5BLNO

if you don't want to fab something yourself...

Retractable Front Frame could be your other option.

I had it on my old car, got pulled over anyway. I forgot to pull out the license plate before driving. Just got a warning.

I went ahead and just used the parts I got from Home Depot and some Dynamat I had left over from an old stereo install .....I think it turned out pretty well....simple and clean....the bolts that hold the plate to the brackets sit just below the bumper so they wont rub.....perfect fit!!

View from the back....obviously

Front

Installed

I hope this keeps the cops that feel the need to pull over any modified car off my back.....I HOPE

Parts used:

2 - 4" Corner braces "L Brackets"
2 - 1/4"-20x3/4" Machine screws with nuts
2 - 1/4" Locking washers
2 - #14x1" Self Drilling Hex Screws

Heres what i did with mine, unfortunately my bumper had the holes drilled in so i fabbed up a bracket and gave it that awesome cool jdm look, lol. I made one like this on my old civic and liked it so i tried it on my GS.

I like it. I had thought about doing mine off centered and with some tilt....but honestly.....didn't want to give the cops around here any reason to stop me.....i also had it on my old civic and was stopped because they said it was not completely visible.
