98 gs 400 clicking sounds and flickering lights. HELP
Ok, so I need some help.
I parked my car for 4 days while I was out of town and when I came back to start it it wouldn't start. It turned over fine and started for a second then died. I tried again several times with no luck. After about 5 minutes of letting it sit it finally started, but some smoke came out the exhaust, not sure if i flooded it trying to start it?? I was also parked on a hill and I didnt know if that would cause a problem if the fuel pump is getting weak or something??
I then filled it with fuel and put in a fuel booster and headed home on the interestate. It was a 4 hour drive home and after about 2 hours of driving there was a clicking sound coming from somewhere near the steering wheel area and the headlights were flickering. Car still ran fine and I made it home, but this continued off and on for the next 2 hours. Interior lights were fine, gauge lights were fine. Just clicking noise like when a battery is completely dead coming from the steering wheel area and the headlight issues.
Battery looks to be the original one!!! Could this be the issue?? Today it started right up though. Anyone have any advice?
