I'm looking forward to the new build, considering your resume looks pretty top notch.

Thanks guys I appreciate all the kind words, and criticism is always welcome.

I have some good/bad news...lets start with the good:

Went by the body shop today......i have to say i'm really impressed at what these guys do. shop is called Dreamin' Auto, small autobody shop in Calgary, Alberta CANADA. They specialize in restoring classic cars, and they're excellent with metal work (which is getting harder and harder to find nowadays).... Anyways, the rust is now gone, but the metal they cut, shaped, and welded in looks like OEM. I am so impressed they did that in 7 hours, which translates to $560.

I would have taken some pics but I forgot my blackberry at the office. Shop owner Rob had taken some pictures, so eventually I will post those up

Now onto my frustrations:

I decided to buy the Shine Auto Project wing for the car, because it's cheap, and a few members on here said they had good experiences with their parts.
Fit was just horrific, air bubbles came up when they were sanding, there were high and low spots galore, ripples....etc. Body shop fixed it all, but it cost me a fair amount of money...

That aside.... I'm excited to see the outcome, I'll have the car back in a couple days.

So I talked to Ken today at Shine Auto. Sent him the pictures of the horrible fitment, he ended up refunding my money no questions asked.

It looks like an ugly ducking came out of their batch, and by luck, I received it.

Even though I was disappointed with the product, I am very satisfied and impressed with the way they handle business. I know I said I wouldn't buy anything from them again, but by the way things turned out, I would definitely consider buying their product again.

Stuff happens, and they way they handled the situation was nothing short of excellent.

there is a bunch of brands out there making coil overs and most fall short of what a true suspension is suppose to provide. speaking from experience, one of the best set up ive had, was on my Supra. It had re valved Bilsteins with Eibachs. it would out perform most of the shelf/custom coil overs.

BTW i dont see how high power would be a determining factor on a proper tuned suspension, unless his application is different than what he claims it to be.
if you ride on conservative height, any street spring/shock setup will ride nicer than coilovers on aggressive stance.

those springs rates may seem high, but with the right shocks they won't be as stiff as they seem to be on cars with upper control arms.

Wow they did great work! Leave it shaved, it looks better with no emblems. Your making quick progress on your car. Whats next?
