Great photos and text, it took a lot of nerve to go after this evaporator!
I've had a garage quote of $1400, it looks worth it. Doing a vacume test could reduce the risk of junk yard parts.

if u had a quote u seem to be in need of the parts? i have the AC Evaporator Coil AND Heater Core for sale here for cheap if you need

I dont know if anyone else has tried it, but my AC is still blowing cold a year later =)....

Now I have to do my timing belt again... and I have the dreaded VCS off, VCS and ABS light on... Now to fix that too...

Wow just logged in lurking on lexus, I never got to fix my issue with leak from condenser just kept the plug off for a bit under the rug to sooth it out. I eventually ended up selling my gs for a beemer but I truly understand why the dealer was trying to charge so much after seeing this post. Great job dont know if I would have had the peanuts to do that myself lol.

hey i need to do the same my heat is no work in one side and now my air condition don't work , my servos is good so i don't now what is the problem can you help
