I thought the mounting points on the I6 and V8 were completely different. As far as I know only the GS300 was a direct drop in. I may be wrong, but thats what I've been told

Just use GS300 motor mounts and you'll be good to go. Is your GTE a VVTi out of an aristo? If yes, then just use the mounts it comes with, it's the same as the GS300.

I would like to know more about this swap. From what I have read on this forum is that it cost more and is harder to do in a 400 than a 300. Is this still true?

What about the computer, shiftronic, and any other engine management systems that are programmed for the 1uz?, can they be married up with the 2jz with out any issues? what exactly would you need for an engine swap like that?
I too have asked around and was told that it wouldn't be cost effective, but I have so much time in work invested in my GS4 to buy a G3 and start all over..lol

any relivant input would be greatly appreciated!..

get a complete swap engine, tranny, ecu, and driveshaft if you can. E-shift can be retained even traction control if the swap come with the chassis ecu but most importers leave that ecu in the car that they cut up. Wiring is the biggest obstacle but its not that hard if whoever is doing your swap knows what to do. Drive down here and get the swap done and drive back you'll be happy trust me.
