Hi all.

Ive searched with no succes. I was trying to change the yellow bulbs on front foglights. But it turned out that it was a yellow glasscover inside of them, Not the bulb itself..

Any DIY writing on how to maeby get inside there and take that yellow glass bit away??

hi,, ye its mixed feeling about the yellow ones.. Its JDM and yellow is nice in a way, spec on hondas, But hmm just want a fresh look on mine.

But isnt there a way to get inside these and take the yellow away?

 

not after them cause they JDM (they the same fogs) BTW 2001+ came with yellow 1998-2000 didnt, they were clear. i need a newer passenger one, mines leaking

yes and no, i have seen 2 members get inside their fogs by actually opening them, im sure you can break the capsule without opening them but im telling you just sell them and buy the clear ones.

 

I thought it was the other way around, my 99 has yellow fogs. Yellows fogs are well in demand...

 

ya my first 98 also had yellow fogs

 

lol.....no the gs 400 and 430 came stock with yellow fogs unless they were requested with the clear ones. and some gs300 came with them but only as an upgrade..... the reason why the yellow fogs are an upgrade is due to the fact yellow fogs are better to use when there is fog compared to the clear ones.

 

So what are ppl willing to give for em? i can check shiping to the states aswell! They look new, can take photos on them tomorrow

 

i have NEVER seen a pre 2001 gs300 or a gs400 factory with them its possible that some did but i wouldnt imagine so UNLESS they had the optional HIDS. ALL 2001+ have them

how much do you want for them? pics for condition? this is gonna end up being moved to the classifieds i think lol

 

Sorry to thread hi-jack, but to end the debate and help the OP find someone to trade with, the yellow fogs came with cars that had factory HID. This applies to all 2GS from 98-05. My 99 GS3 had em, and my 01 GS4 has em.

 

yea yellow fogs come with oem hid equipped gs's..
either break the capsule or sell them

if your car came with oem hids, then you will have yellow fogs. the clear fogs are from those that are with halogen headlights.

 

Makes sense. My 99 gs300 with OEM HIDs has yellow fogs. I like the look.

 

-Wrong. 1998-2000 did come with yellow.

you can remove the capsule.
