Who gets the credit for the DIY Chrome Grill?
I have searched and found a plethroa of posts regarding the DIY Chrome Grill MOD. I must know, who was the member that discovered this truly amazing find?
Tell me, why in HELL would Lexus spray over that smooth chrome plating? That was the best four dollars that I have ever spent in my life. PERIOD. As for the hour ETA - well make that about 2 if you want it to look perfect. I am so happy with the outcome and thank that member who shared the great news with the crew! See ya, - Synergy |
the first person to actually do it was superjoe former DIY king before he left this site, but I think he did it a diffrent way, instead of getting paint thinner and dong it he actualy went out and baught strips of chrome and cut them into the shape of the grill, as for the paint thinner mod Im not exactly sure who found that out

I believe it was 2SAVVY who get the credit for the paint thinner trick.

I pop in once in a while to see everyone and to see if people still mention my name...to my surprise I saw 7 posts that mentioned me since the time of my accident...
I've got a Black 93 prelude SI with 4 wheel steering it's got an AEM CAI and some Euro clear lights in the front, it also has a full stereo system with 3 tens in the trunk....sounds real nice. well I might be back on this site sooner than I thought...I really think that things are starting to turn around for my career and my life. I really miss going to the meets and seeing you guys. The X |
Good to see you SuperJoe.. Nope I don't get the credit for the DIY grill.. I just helped find a better product to do the paint stripping and actually provided pictures to help my fellow CL members out.. Gel type remover is the best.. Use Acetone to perfect the edges and it can be done in less than 1 hour when you factor in wait time for the gel to do its stuff..
