$7,250 is a bit much. A friend of mine just bought a 2003 GS300 112K for 6,600.

When you looking at an older car it all really depends on how well it has been taken care of and maintained. If money has been put into the car you can expect the price to be a little higher. I couldn't find the ad but I don't think that $7250 is too bad. I'd have it inspected (if you don't work on cars) for the piece of mind.

I paid less than that 2 years ago for my '01 430 with only slightly higher mileage and very well maintained. I'd keep shopping if I were you or negotiate a much lower price.

Passing on a GS just because its a 300? Lame. 430 is a bit faster but the GS300 is still an excellent car.

How's that lame? Most of the 300's prices the same as a 400 or u can get a lil higher mileage 430, the Gs300 is a dime a dozen and they are slugs compared to the latter, hell, even my 400 seems a lil slow sometimes to me, I'm about to change the plugs, anyway though, I never see a 400 or 430 around my way, NEVER, all I see are gold 300's, meh, to each their own I guess, I wouldn't jump on it just cause it's a Gs, it took me months to find my 400 and I'm glad I waited...

A bit faster? GS400 & 430 feels like a whole different car to me compared to a GS300. I rarely see GS4s in my area but plenty if Gs300. There was a kid driving a GS300 that I encountered that was surprised to see that I had a Gs400. He wasn't aware that Lexus made one! I think he wished he'd gotten a Gs400/430

Just noticed all of that, too. The ad looks completely bogus (seller believes it's a V6).
