Hi

My antenna is working properly, up and down without problems,
but after close, I hear noise (usually 18-20 times). It looks like
the motor try to close antenna even it is already closed
I know that the problem is with the antenna mast because I found some post about
this and the motor is working, but...

it is a good idea to cut the mast? about 2-3 in? I think that this might help.

Have you replaced the mast recently with one on which the retracting cable was longer than the original? Otherwise, I don't see where cutting the mast cable (I assume you're talking about the cable and not the mast itself) will do any good. Hearing it 18 - 20 times after it has been retracted is definitely not normal,

I will buy new mast.
