Yo, just looking for some suggestions as to the best bulb to use for the High Beam/DRL which is type 9005 and for the Fog Lights which are type 9006.

I have HIDs in the low beams(2001 GS300 Silver), but without putting HIDs in the highs, is my only good option the Silverstar Ultras?

My HIDs are 4300k currently, but I'm thinking of changing the bulbs out to 5000k or 6000k. I wish I had some bulbs to test or swap.

I would like some yellow non HID fogs, but I've read certain aftermarket yellow 9006 bulbs can get hot and melt either the housing or the harness. I could always buy the extra $20 plug and play harness, but still a little skeptical.

if you get the ultras for the highs... gotta swap the lows for some Phillip's 85122CM closest to 5k you can get (which is about what the sliver star ultras are. ( I have a pair of brand new 85122CM in box if you'd like

I payed about $200 for this pair, installed them saw that they didnt match my LED's (which are 6k) took them off, boxed them and stored them. So they are new! You can have them for $150 plus shipping if you'd like:

Thanks but I'm thinking of swapping out my 4300k with 6000k in the lows. What do you have in the highs to match your 6000k LEDs?

I just purchased the VLED 9005 DRL Module. I purchased it in 5000k but they have it in 6000k too.

I might do the same. I'm grabbing a set of 5000k bulbs for the lows instead of 6000k. I assume your lows are 5000k?

Did you get the 28 LED for 69.99? Will it work as high beams and drl?

I purchased DRL upgrade kit which included the LED, module and harness to make it all work as a DRL and highbeam. I just searched for it again and it says it is sold out. I'm not sure about the 28LED kit, it looks like you will have to purchase the module separately or contact them to see if they can bundle it for you.
