Default Is this a good price for a 01 430?

Hi I'm heading out to buy a cinnabar red gs430 01 tommorow, but I don't know if it's a good car or not as far as mechanics and as far as price/problems.

The carfax is:

The car seems to be in good condition and the interior is tan (drats black is hard to find with this color).

What worries me is a) 3 owners, and aB) Auto auction at 35k miles. The car is low mileage at 84k miles, which is why I'm going to check it out. The price is 9.7k. Any one has any advise to offer? Thanks?

Also is a 90k '03 430 for 12.5k also a good price while the 90 service hasn't been done yet? Black/tan interior. Thanks

Dealers auction off cars all the time. Doesn't mean it's a bad car.

I paid about the same price for my GS430 which had 110k miles. 9.7k is also below retail price in KBB.

Take it to your mechanic and have it checked out.

most cars eventually go to the dealer auction. nothing to worry about at all.
87k miles is great price. does it have navigation and all the goodies?
Just make sure you get it checked by a trusted mechanic before the purchase though

Well I went over to see it, and then i noticed a dent the size of my fist as well as it has some deep scratches on the side as well. No nav, but it does have premium sound. Offered 8600 as the cost to repair the bump is around 500 dollars, and he refused so I left.

Got home and the guy upped the cost to 10.8k, pissed me off since he lied to me and i had to drive 1.5 hours to go see the car.

Time to move on.

Sorry to hear about the jerk who tried to sell you the car. Anyways, as I've owned my car for 3 years now, I wouldn't just settle for finding one car, there are enough out there that if you can find the color scheme you want, you will be happier than paying a few bucks less, they might even cut you a deal. I would also stick with private sales, dealers always try to get the highest amount of profit possible as that's how they keep the lights on. That's just my .02
