Never mind

They will work no problem, but you run the risk of getting pulled over as they appear to be extremely blue.

KINGPIN39 Mar 23, 2010 03:47 PM

good looks man thanks i couldnt find a 9006 blue led bulb to complement the inner lights so im just going with white 2825, 6 led set up instead of blue

KINGPIN39 Mar 23, 2010 03:54 PM

but i mean if you know of other sources let me know thanks

If you're looking for blue headlights, which once again can get you into some legal trouble, go with an 8000K HID conversion kit or if you already have factory HIDs, look into some 8000K D2S bulbs.

KINGPIN39 Mar 24, 2010 08:21 AM

i dont have HID can you recommend a fake hid set up using leds on like the 9006 set up?

shvc1991 Mar 24, 2010 08:25 AM

I don't exactly understand what you're trying to say.

If you don't have HID and want the blue-ish look, try this one in 8000K with 35w ballasts.

HIDs and LEDs are two different things.

KINGPIN39 Mar 24, 2010 08:46 AM

thanks man truthfully there cheaper and would most likely look better but this was just what i saw and was thinking about something along the lines of this. but i guess you recommend that HID kit so if i were to purchase id go with a 35 watt 9006 bulb and 8000k color that question is mainly pertaining to the bulb type or dose that not matter due to their now HIDs. sorry for the incompetency

Bulb socket doesn't really matter, the type of bulb does.

HID will be much much brighter than LED. A 35 watt HID kit projects anywhere from 3500-5000 Lumens.... The LED bulb you linked me to will only put out 400 Lumens meaning that the HID is about 9-12 times brighter.

They even state that the LED bulb should not be used as a primary light, but rather to be used for aesthetic purposes only.

goood looks man i appreciate your help and i cant believe i didnt even read the bottom part my bad

shvc1991 Mar 24, 2010 01:44 PM

last question hommie would the ddm kit complement the 2825 parking lights just asking due to you said they appear extremely blue. im running yellow primaries right now so sadly trying to get away from looking like im 17 so matching color blue would be appropriate

shvc1991 Mar 24, 2010 02:43 PM

Personally, I think the blue lights make you look even more like you're 17... Grown men use white lights :)

Although it is possible, matching LEDs with HIDs if a difficult task. Different manufacturers have different shades of blue in their blue bulbs. Some a lighter blue, some darker. To simplify, two different vendors will sell bulbs that are supposedly 8K (blue), but one may be bluer than the other.

As I stated before, purchase these with a 35 watt ballast, a 9006 socket, and 8000K bulbs.

If the bulbs are not blue enough, purchase these bulbs in 10K and use the other bulbs as spares in case one burns out.
