Ok, I have a squeaking noise coming from the driver's side. It appears to be coming from the struts. This happens only when I go over any kind of bump.

The sound is very similar to a bed that squeaks.

My car has 87,000 miles on it. People say that it could be the ball joints, but I don't know what that would sound like if it went bad.

Any help or input?

My car has been doing this for months and I still can't figure it out.

I also got new tires put on, an alignment, and a balance. My car was driving fine for like a week after this and then all of a sudden I get the same problem I had before all of this. Vibration, steering wheel shake, brake pulsation, and all that. It was fine for a week. WTH is going on with my car?

same here.. i hear it also but only when i gun it.. i hear a squeaks n sometimes a clank! what is going on with our gs? mine is a 03 430 @ 83000miles.

You guys have baby GSs.... 2000 GS3 here with 138,5xx miles.

i got the same problem. After changing the blue paper gasket that sits on top of the strut mount, new kyb shocks, new strut mounts and new springs (tanabe nf210). The noise went away.

I had an ls400 in the past, changed the struts and the dust cover on top of the struts. it went away.

i have same problem on my right. i thought i was some kinda rubbing noise in between interior pieces. but i hear it when ever i hit bumps on my front rt. just got coilover installed i heard it once and after that i didn't hear anything yet.

could be your bump stop, or your springs aren't sitting right. but yes, ultimately it is very possible your ball joints are bad, my ball joints went bad at 47k.
