Air system not working properly
Hey!
Recently I'm experiencing some problems with my air system. The problems are that it is not switching to other modes and it seems that the distribution of air is not working properly.
Problems that I'm experiencing:
- If I turn on the front window defroster, it simply does nothing at all. No air at all from the front defroster vents. The light of the button does turn on.
- If I hit the button to switch between recirculate/outside air, it does nothing. This button of this light changes as it's supposed to.
- The front-right air vent (the one for the driver, next to the instrument cluster) only blows cold air, even though the heater is on and the rest of the air vents are blowing hot air.
I've searched and have not found people with the exact same combination of problems. I've seen people with somewhat comparable problems, and they say it was a faulty servo motor. Since this part is quite expensive, I would first like to share my problems with you guys so that I can be confident that my servo motor is causing the problems.
What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,

You should be able to hear the actuators attempting to move (usually they're still getting power, just not effectively moving the arms) when you change the air output location and temperature. While there's no way to diagnose your car 100% over the internet, the most likely culprit are multiple defective air control actuators.

Hey, thanks for your reply! I hear absolutely no sound from the actuators when changing the air output. I've read several things now but still not sure about the problem, lots of sources say that somewhat similar problems are caused by part 8710630351 (servo motor). Anyone else ideas or had similar problems?
