Default best HID bulbs?

Hey guys, I recently picked up a 2gs with factory hids, i want to upgrade them to 6000k. what brand is everyone using? all the 3gs guys are running garax, but i have noticed they are not very popular in the 2gs community. I saw some philips bulbs on ebay for $29 plus $8 shipping each, so $74 for philips bulbs? does anyone have any experience with this buyer?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PHILI...#ht_4202wt_941

if you guys don't recommend these, what do you recommend? I checked mobilehid.com, but it doesnt look like cliff sells them any more. Xenon depot is like $150 per bulb, which is insane. so those 2 are ruled out.

Thanks guys

I would never buy on ebay.

I personally use VisionPro HID kits from xenonking.com, and they sell bulbs too. Might be slightly more expensive but I can personally attest to their durability in 90+ degree heat as well as sub zero icy winters.

I was wondering this, too... Thinking of doing a projector retrofit, and because I've never really looked into the HID part, am kinda confused about that. I thought I saw entire kits for like $90, the I see 'em at like $300... No idea.

We need two bulbs and two ballasts, right? The OEM harness wires into the ballast, and the pigtail from the bulb plugs into ballast? (Guessing) Also interested what the best brand is and where to get a good deal on 'em.

Lookin' for 5000k myself (and LS430 or Q45 projectors here someday soon).

No ebay.

I use DDM tuning (lifetime warranty, quality product).
