OP can you measure the angle of the bases of the original one, I've heard JDM mirrors are different as they are made for the RHD market so the angle of the bases themselves are different.

The lenses are different because of RHD but the housings are the same. I just swapped lenses and everything mounted just fine.

Hey guys, I've run into quite an issue here. I've gotten everything painted, just need to spray the clear tomorrow. However I've noticed that in wiring up the mirrors I have an issue. The wiring to power the motor on the USDM has 7 inputs, red, white, black, lt.blue, cyan, purple vs. the JDM which has 3 red, white, black. Now obviously one would just connect red, black, and white and call it a day, but I am not going to do that. My question is that what do I need to get the JDM to have the same function as the USDM. What are the 4 wires lt. blue, cyan, grey, and purple do? Is it true JDM GSs don't have memory? Tomorrow I guess I'll find out. In the picture you can see the 4 wires in the mid-left of the photo going into what appears to be a motor of some kind.

iPhone kinda sucks for photos...

Good question...ther JZS161 mirrors are hard to find, missed a set on ebay recently and am kicking myself for it. The JZS147 mirrors are easy to find so I wish I knew if I could swap the 147 outer section onto the 161 base....looks pretty damn close. Only issue after that is that the 147 mirror glass is setup for RHD and doesn't work so well when you're rolling a LHD car...found that out the fun way on one of my old mid 90's Accords. lol. But I ont hat car I swapped the USDM base onto it and it worked great.

And yes, I brought this thread back from the dead.

Any updates?

A local guy here in Estonia sells his Toyota Aristo for parts.
No idea where he got this beast from but anywayz.
He has dark wood interior (but the steering wheel) and folding mirrors.

I think this is the right the thread to check, I just wish it had updates!
Hope the 3UZFTE managed to make these mirrors work!
