Car Problems
Seems as if my car is temperature sensitive if that's what you want to call it. Once it gets under 40 degrees, not only do I feel as if I've lost power and my steering wheel gets much stiffer, my capacitor I have installed with my sound system is telling me that it's only reading 4-6 volts from the battery. What the hell is going on here? Not to mention, all of these problems go away when the temperature goes back up.
You might have a bad connection somewhere if you're only getting 4-6 volts to the trunk. I don't even think the display and amps would power on with that low of power. Check your battery terminals to make sure they are tight and free of corrosion. Make sure your battery is not on its last legs either.
It may be the battery. I had to get a jump when the first snow storm hit last year. Haven't had a problem since, but I have noticed it takes considerably longer for the engine to turn over. I've been trying to save up for an Optima Yellow Top, but I'm on a student's budget and it's not getting me anywhere, especially since have this bull**** speeding ticket to take care of. Just glad that both my cars are paid off though.
