Great work on the trunk but imo it looks almost too empty without the GS badges and the tail lights, but everyones got a different opinion

Do you know how to weld would be my first question. And I mean good. The metal is thin in all these areas, and very easy to overheat, over penetrate, and warp.

If so then it's as easy as filling the holes. Take off all of the adhesive from the spoiler mount area. All except for one of the holes we were able to fill with weld. The one for the wiring was too big so I fabbed a quick fill piece for it.

Then you have to grind the welds down even with the metal. Being ever so careful not to make any unnecessary low spots for later.

Then you have to "feel" out your area for any high or low spots and decide how much paint to take off, so that you can lay your filler. Now the body work part is almost an art in itself, it can be quite daunting for someone that doesn't have the right tools. And very easy to F up!

Haha. You worry too much man. There's nothing about your trunk that looks "unfinished".

Ya know I still have the wiring diagram sitting at work with the old bulb. I still have to design a resistor for it...that's not gonna get too hot and all that. Just no time right now! It's pretty frustrating.

P.S. I did end up removing the bulb for a temporary solution.
