The stock radio on my 01 GS300 randomly changes stations. It seems to be going into 'seek' mode for no apparent reason at times. It doesn't happen all the time, but often it happens when I touch the volume. Sometimes it happens when I havent touched it at all.

Also, at times nothing will happen when I touch one of the presets or try to switch from FM to AM. I either have to turn my radio off to get the presets working again, or believe it or not play around with the volume will get the presets working until which point it decides to fail again later on.

Is the radio just toast or could this be some other fixable issue?

You would have to get this fixed by a radio repair shop. You might do ok if you search EBAY or ask R&J Dist on club lexus if they have a used radio. If yours is not Mark Levinson or Nakamichi it's the Pioneer and is readily available on the used market.
