Default Passenger side HID blown out!!

My passenger side HID is blown out. Does anyone know the bulb type and where I can get a good deal on it? Is it a standard swap or do I need to change the entire ballast? Has anyone else experienced this?

i'd get a used bulb!
I think the whole ballast and everything should be good.

Imagine, Lexus told my friend with a 2000 LS400 that he needed to replace the ENTIRE headlamp and ballast and all that when his passenger side went out...
good thing he didnt go through with it and found out that all he needed was a bulb, which he got for $80

but ehh what do I know... MY GS never had stock HID's

Did you try swapping the bulbs/ballast to see what the culprit is? Swapping the bulbs first and then testing it to check if its the bulbs is probably the easiest. If that's not it, try the ballasts. I'd contact Steve at XenonDepot for replacement parts. He is very informative and helpful. Good luck!

1. swap bulbs and see if it works.
2. if the same side is still out, you can either go with an aftermarket ballast or replace your oem ballast. aftermarket is cheaper and you can DIY it.
3. replacing your oem ballast requires you to remove the headlight from your car, which means requires you to remove your front bumper, and oem ballast are really expensive.
4. if it's a bulb, do not just buy any bulb and replace it. always replace bulbs as a pair due to the color differences.

thanks for the help everyone. i did a search on hid replacements and found out that it's probably the bulb. if not the ballast. i'll swap out both bulbs and update the thread. hopefully that works. i took it in to lexus stealership and they said $2300 for both ballasts, ecu, and bulbs. GO TO HELL YOU F***ING CROOKS
