Does our car have one? I've lost traction before and the lost traction light lights up ok coo... Well today it was raining and I went to make a right turn and tail whipped just a bit, not a violent turn i'm not a crazy driver but enough to twist BUT the traction control light DIDNT turn on this time, but i heard 4 beeps about a quarter second apart (all four in one second). So what was that sound? oh and when I lost traction the car did its thing and adjusted the way it should, just kinda weird that it light didnt show up..

Any guesses?

 

Normal, the light may come on a bit later than the beeps.

 

may I add... I've never heard the beeps before hmm.. not worried, just fascinated with ways companies make our cars safe to drive...

 

yeah, my VSC beeps like a **** when i'm doing something stupid in a snow covered parking lot...

happened to me a few times. the beeps are the warning system. every once in awhile, my traction light wont come on but i can hear and feel it come on. dont really have an explanation for it tho..

 

wow i spun out too! it was worst though. tried to enter the freeway but lost control while merging in. the car spun to the right then the left. i jumped over the island onto the freeway and jumped back over to the lane i was originally on.

 

Thats how we do it Nucka!!! naw, I have my 20's on right now. I dont like to roll on the 2's in the rain.


Yea that was what I was doing, merging into the freeway trying to beat the people turning left into freeway on ramp.


I'm starting to think maybe it beeps on violent drifts only Hmmm...


BTW guys... looks like it that drift took out my tire It wasnt that bad of a slide though! Still dont know what happened to the tire yet. I'm gonna take the rim to the shop cause its flat now dont know why, I didnt see any anomalies in the tire so I can only assume that drift did something to it...

 

If it's just wheelspin, then you won't get a beep..the light will just flash at you. If there is some kind of lateral G's involved as in side to side/drifting motion then the beeping will come on. Yes, I know all about this. I just disabled the traction control and pulled out the module lol

 

i use this noise to always tell me when im driving outta control lol.

 

took tire to shop and they just aired it up! if you recall a while back I bought some tires thinking I was getting some 255's (but got 225's) well thats what caused the tire deal. Since it was too small for the rim, the drift just pulled it off

 

I have got the beeps before when there is a significant tire pressure difference right to left in the rear (tire going flat). No slip but the car can feel it.
