A cool swap that is actually within reach for most people would be the Toyota 1GZ V12 from the Century. It's the only "mass producuced" V12 ever to come from Japan. I use the word "mass produced" loosely because they were only in the Century which very few were produced(I'm guessing in the low thousands range). Toyota produced the V12 because the legendary smooth 1UZ V8 was not smooth enough lol! The Century was a high end luxury limousine for top execs and government officials. A V12 engine is completely balanced by design. All opposing cylinder pairs are matched with another set, so at all times the engine is in "sync" thus lending to the extreme smoothness of the V12 engine.

The motorset can be had for around $4-5k, but is quite rare to come by. If you do come by one, that's the typical going rate for them. Cool part is that it is literally two 1JZ engines bolted together at the crank. I believe many of the internal parts are probably interchangeable.

I would absolutely love to get my hands on one of those engines and throw two turbos on there. If one ever shows up on ebay, it will be mine lol. That's exactly what Top Secret in Japan did to build their V12 Supra.

I mean hell, I've put a M5 V10 motor in a sandrail running on a Motec. This can't be much harder

One thing I noticed is that they're still using good ol' Toyota parts out of their parts bin. Time tested and proven parts that will ensure that this will be one of the most reliable supercars yet.
Yea? What trans did you drop in the rail? Bet that didn't last to long huh..

Was using the 6 spd manual that came with the motorset. It lasted quite a while and is probably still running today. It wasn't used competitively just a weekend fun car/project. The sandrail is much lighter than a full bodied m5 so there's less stress on everything.
