Default Key wont release.

So about 2 days ago, I started having an issue. I would put my car in parking, turn the key to remove it from the ignition, but it wouldnt let go! Its happening all the time now. I have to restart the car, move the car a little, and then try to remove it. Sometimes I get it on the first try, other times up to 4 times Anybody else have that problem ever? I searched but came up with nothing. Help is greatly appreciated ]

make sure your shifter is going all the way into park, this used to happen when I used to keep hair ties around the shifter and they would get stuck when I would put it into park.

ive noticed with my gs, i park on a inclined driveway... i press the emerg. brake then put the shifter into park & release the brake pedal, once i release the brake pedal i can see or sometimes hear the shifter moving up just slightly more into place... maybe something did get lodged inside preventing it from fully locking into place.

yeah check the shifter.....NOT the bulb on the dash. mine does this from time to time. i will go to take keys out and they wont come out. i jiggle the actual shifter a tad for a split second and then they come loose

Thanks guys!! I got it! It is the shifter getting stuck. I apply extra force when pulling it into park. Time to check that.
