Fast blinker????
while turning on my left signal light the other day, i noticed that it was blinking noticeably faster. prolly 2-3 times faster than the right. i get out of the car and go around the back and sure enough, the signal isnt working on the left side. so im figuring the next day ill get the bulb changed. next day, the blinker inside was at its normal pace. went outside and the light was working. later that day, fast blink came back and the light was out. this has happened about 3 or 4 times since then. anyone have any thoughts as to what it could be. thinking that it could be a short but i would hate to think about replacing the wiring. please help....

Doctor, the most likely diagnosis is a turn signal bulb either slightly loose or with a very small amount of corrosion. Or both. When one hears hoofbeats outside one's window, think horses before thinking zebras. (Occam's Razor, restated.) Not that there aren't zebras available. But there are lots more horses. And a short will normally light the little battery pictogram on your panel.

One should always choose the simplest explanation of a phenomenon, the one that requires the fewest leaps of logic.
ummm I had the same problem... thought I was gonna get a twitch...
I'm not quite sure why I had the rapid blinker either... here's a pic of my car. The speedyness went away after I got it back from the autobody shop...
but seriously... I'd try replacing the bulbs, if that doens't fix it, move on to looking @ loose wiring in the harness, then if need be, replacing the entire taillight assembely.
Note: on my SC, having the tail light FUBAR affected both the front turn signal, and the rear turn signal.
check yo bulbs first.
LX-470 vs. SC400 (my SC lost, but his inusrance paid $4,600)
