Default Need fast help on springs!

Is springs same between GS300 and GS430?

my mechanic is in process of changing shocks/springs. I need to confirm if the springs are the same or need to change them out before my mechanic install the shocks/springs I picked up from a member (the car was GS300).

Yes it’s the same. To confirm a part number just go to a parts site like discountpartsmonster.com and compare part numbers on the springs in a GS3 and GS4. I’m 99% sure it’s the same though. All the parts are the same on the 300/400 besides what’s under the hood

Mechanic took my original sets out and it matched to the springs that was being installed (had same color paint marks on the springs from my original ones and the replacements).

I am pretty sure they are not the same, the spring rates are different because of the engine and transmission weight, I know for a fact the aftermarket Tanabe DF are different.

oh wow I always assumed all suspension parts were the same in the 300/400 since the struts and all the controls arms are basically the same. Good to know

To be clear: those are the part numbers for front and rear springs, not I6 and V8 springs.
"see for yourselves" that they are listed as fitting all models.

Fun fact, depending on what resource you reference, 2JZ weighs as much or more than the 1UZ. And it's the same trans, different components within - likely slightly beefier torque converter in the V8.
