If it is a factory installed rear spoiler, then yes it will leave mounting holes.

It's not taped.

You take the trim pieces off that coversthe bolts mounting the spoiler to the bracket and just tighten it up.

mine's loose also, but it's not the wing to bracket being loose, I took the wing off, and wriggled the bracket, it's the bracket being loose... I think it's the rivets and I was planning to re-rivet them, but I don't know what type and if it'll hold....

I think they may use an adhesive in addition to the bolts and brackets.

Open your trunk and look at the underside of the spoiler where it hangs over the sides of the trunk lid. Remove the "Rear Spoiler Covers." I believe they just pop off with a screw driver. You can then check and see if the spoiler bolts are loose. If they are you can tighten them and put the covers back on.

If this is not the issue the rivets that hold the "Rear Spoiler Side Retainer" (bracket) to the trunk lid may be loose. You can remove the spoiler and check them. The rivets would have to be drilled out and replaced if they have become loose.

Okay. Inspected the mounting bolts. Wasn't the problem. The problem is the adhesive tape at the outer end of the tail.

When you say you checked the mounting bolts which ones are you talking about? Are you referring to the ones from the inside of the trunk?
