Did my oil changed today and put in 6 quarts.. and thats what i got.
GS300 calls for 6 quarts but doesnt it suppose to fill up to the second hole?? correct me if im wrong... thanks

im think 6.5 would fill up all the way

Somewhere in the middle of those two hole marks is good. I don't think filling all the way up to the second mark will make the car acting bad. But better safe than sorry. Liquid will expand when hot, you know.

5.5-5.6 qts. The oil level at cold engine should barely touch the first dot. 6 quarts is way too much. over time you will blow out your seals.

To check your oil level properly, get the engine to the proper operating temperature, and then turn off your engine. Wait for a few minutes to let the car cool off and the oil travel back down to the oil pan. Then you pull out the dipstick, wipe off the oil on the dipstick with a rag, then insert the dipstick as far as you can, then pull it out again. As long as the oil level is in between the two dots, you are fine.

My 2002 GS300 3.0 Liter Inline 6 , Sport Design Gray Pearl states 5.5 Quarts in the Manual and at the Dealer ,They charge
Me for 6 But always leave a Plastic bag with a Quart 1/2 Full or 1/2 Empty
However you Like ,Of Toyota Premium Oil !

i always use the 5 quart jug and that fills mine up to the second dot/line.
