It is a separate piece. By peeling, u mean the paint is peeling or wat? and if you can a new piece from lexus. the color will be off due to the oxidation of the rest of the car.

Had the same problem a year back. Super glue + silicone works best.

or it's like a 20 dollar part from the dealership... it's a PITA to replace though for a stupid molding. if you have silver, you might want to change all 4 b/c the color could have changed over the years as someone said.

I replaced all of them, at it was a bigger pain that it should be. I'm pissed because a year later they look the same as the old ones. They are yellowish.

After removing the interior panel. That bottom outter part is held on by three black ***** that you can just screw off with a 10mm or so. Then you remove the outter panel, you would have to pry it off of clips, some adesive and a sticky foam piece. Then remove about 6 screws that position the molding and and slide out the old and in with the new. It cost about $27 from sewelllexusparts.com. I had replaced the Millemium Silver 199 moulding with a new one, and the paint it barely noticable. My car see no sun because I'm in Seattle, so the paint matched well.
