I have a 04 gs3 and i have master and valley key. I want to make another master key . I have a Lexus remote part here so all i need is the blade cut . I called Lexus and thy told me its $188 regardless if i just need a blade or the remote and key . Is that how much it is to cut a key . I all ready learned the programing from this forum . Or there is another way to obtain a blade key.?

 

have you been able to program both the keyless entry and the immobilizer? usually the dealership charges you an arm because when they cut a blank key, they also have to program the immobilizer...

 

WHOA! That's offlimits! They should only charge 120.

 

Order a key from Sewell and use the DIY program instructions to do it yourself....

 

So for the duplicate, do you just want a housing and blade or do you want a complete new housing, blade and remote? If its just the housing and blade you can get them from anywhere between $20-$80. If its complete than it can be around $175ish.

 

i got my master remote cut and all from sewell for like 135 i think...and now i think they are cheaper

10 bucks to cut the key...so that would make it 128.80...

To have them cut it you need your drivers license and
(a) insurance card
(b) registration
(c) title
(d) buyers order

 

i was thinking about doing the same thing, I bought a used oem lexus master key from ebay (#'s on back match my current master key). Can you just take the transmitter out of the used key and transfer it into a new key shell from sewell lexus and then reprogram it?

I got a extra master remote from Sewell too, they cut it to the VIN. You just have to provide proof of ownership. It was under $120 if I remember correctly.

 

yeah i think i used the wrong discount code....i think i used the 10% instead of the 12% when i got mine it was 122 for the key an like 8 to cutt and 5 to ship! all in all was better than then 200 MY LOCAL POS stealership wanted for it!
