p0440 Code!
Ahhh...tried re-installing gas cap, no joy. All connections are tight to air box. I'm just hoping it's not that expensive evaporative canister. Gonna have my local Toyota Dealer diagnose. Some people have mentioned that overfilling may cause this issue? I'm sure I've topped off too much on 1 or more occasions.

- check if gas cap is damage, if so replace
- if you happen to know or have access to the toyota diognostic tool, u can turn ur evap switch on and off to test if its malfunctioning or not
- last resort, charcoal canister.
For newer cars (anything 92+) up here for smog test, u can do a 2 year test. i just reset the ecu (unplug neg terminal), ran the car for a couple days to gather enough info. not sure how they do it where ur from, but for me, they just plugged into my obd II port and scanned it for any codes.
i get the check engine like p0440 once a week, just reset it everytime with an obdII reader. too lazy to change the canister.
