Default ECU Reset E-shift only

I stumbled across this a while ago but i did not want to post unless i was sure about it. Anyways when in manual mode hold down the downshift button for 20 sec, you will notice the m on the display flashing once that happens you are done. You will notice the same as if you took the batt cable off, but you can do it while driving. I cant belive after 11 years of ownership i am still finding new things about the car.

Well, if it works I'm gonna try it on my car later when weather's nicer.

But while driving? that's a bit scary..... though I think it just defaults the mapping anyways... but I need my ECU resetted...

BTW it only resets the ECU and nothing else right?

I usually do it when i am at a red light. You got to wait for 20 sec for it to start blinking. No it does not reset any radio or seat settings. The car just feels quicker and more responsive.
